Details of Armor Stack - Guild Wars Forums

I did a search and could not find anything that went into a whole lot of detail about the working of our beloved armor stack (+25).

What we know is this does not include any armor from shields/armor, etc.

Does a consumable count as stack? For example if I use an armor of salvation, does that count toward my stack? Its not really a skill or spell, but I am not sure.

What about Ursan Blessing or Rebel Yell? Does that count toward the stacking?

Point me to the thread if this has been asked and sorry if so.

The cap to armor stacking is only from skills. Or at least that is what the update notes state. So consumables should exceed the cap. I haven't tested this assumption since I don't normally bother with consumables(except ales!). It should be an easy test to perform.

Armor granted from a single skill may exceed the cap, but armor bonuses from multiple skills won't stack beyond 25.

so basically, it's pointless to use kinetic armor and armor of earth together?

Yes, this much we know - but my question is more along the lines of what counts toward that. For instance things like armor of salvation or rebel yell, ursan blessing or avatar of balth... forms, consumables, and titles
